With 22" of the white stuff in our yard, your picture makes me feel very wistful.

Lilrain 01-02-2013 09:04 AM

I bet that was hard to take. Need any company next time?

We don't have white stuff, but I do have the floor heater going right beside me here in VA, and the picture doesn't make me wistful, it makes me mad! <kidding!> :hunf: :D :D

Hi
Looking good........

Peggy Jeanne 01-02-2013 12:30 PM

I can only dream. We have had around 12 inches of snow on the ground since Christmas day!

Grandma Bonnie 01-02-2013 04:16 PM

Wonderful place to quilt - or just relax!

Sandra in Minnesota 01-02-2013 04:25 PM

That looks sooo inviting......wonder what my neighbors would think if I got my chaise lounger, put it on my deck, and did a little hand piecing in my bathing suit.......while sitting on 6 inches of snow at 10 degrees f. You are so fortunate!

wolph33 01-02-2013 04:27 PM

looks like you had some fun in the sun

beatys9 01-02-2013 04:38 PM

Love it! Maybe the same thing mine think when I BBQ in the snow... I BBQ in all weather. Sewing in the sun in Mexico - nice :)

I could tell you were'nt in NJ either! Even in East Texas, it's been cold and rainy for the holiday season....but then it is December and January....include February in that and you have our winter months for the most part. Sometimes it's cold and sometimes it's not so cold and sometimes it's warm.
Looks like you were enjoying your vacation in Mexico> Good for you!
Happy New Year

Material Witness 01-02-2013 06:55 PM

How did you keep the sunscreen off the fabric?

paulettepoe 01-02-2013 07:43 PM

quiltjoey 01-02-2013 08:10 PM

DebbE 01-02-2013 09:21 PM

Wow - I envy you that wonderful warmth! Looks like you had a blast there! Good for you!

catladyquilts 01-03-2013 05:07 AM

How relaxing, especially since it is now 24 degrees here in St. Louis. Looks like you had a wonderful time.

pamesue 01-03-2013 05:13 AM

I am very envious - it is colder than a witches *** here in my area...

kateyb 01-03-2013 05:35 AM

Here in western Colorado (about 27 miles from the dessert) we don't usually have snow for Christmas but we did this year. But it is cold, cold, cold. It doesn't usually get this cold til Feb. I think we will have snow on the ground until spring.

Jackie Spencer 01-03-2013 05:53 AM

Oh I can't wait for warmer weather! Its 15 degrees here, and there is something wrong with my furnace, got up this morning and it was 63 degrees in here. Burrrrrr!!

nabobw 01-03-2013 06:22 AM

you sure do look comfortable

AllAboutScraps 01-03-2013 06:40 AM

Now that's dedication! You look so relaxed. Bet you had a great time. It was 3 degrees when I got up this morning. Would love to visit someplace warm right now.

Gramie bj 01-03-2013 01:33 PM

OH I want to go there! It is 1:30 P.M. and 20 here. Haven't seen the sun in over a week.

red-warrior 01-03-2013 02:36 PM

Lucky girl!!! Great pic

solstice3 01-04-2013 04:19 AM

I am with you on that method of quilting....relaxation and keeping your hands busy. I can't just lay by the pool without something to read or do

AnnT 01-04-2013 04:49 AM

Color me green! What a wonderful place to sew. Hope it was a good vacation overall.

linda faye 01-04-2013 09:57 AM

At the moment I am freezing. Quilting by the Pool gave me rays of sunshine and smiles. Warm weather will come again.

Debbie C 01-04-2013 10:19 AM

just a little bit jealous!! It's 30 degrees here on Long Island and I don't even want to think about going outside. I will, however, be in Orlando in 12 days!!

A1penny 01-04-2013 11:55 AM

Looks like you had a great helpmate with your projects! I took one of those tiny sewing machines to Mexico...(I think $19.00...it only went forward.) I took all the blocks and parts of a quilt and put it together on a terrace over the beach. I then left the sewing machine in Mexico. Now I wish I'd brought it home, haven't ever seen one again.

kristen0112 01-04-2013 01:06 PM

Glad somebody has the sweet life!! What a nice place to quilt.

gramquilter2 01-04-2013 01:14 PM

Looks like you had a fun time quilting by the pool.

fred singer 01-04-2013 03:13 PM

quilting in the sunshine would be great

BSKTLOFR-QUILTER 01-04-2013 03:16 PM

The best of two worlds. Not that warm camper boondocking in AZ.

imnywoman 01-04-2013 09:08 PM

That's the way to do it!!

Lorileik 01-05-2013 05:46 AM

Ok, I am jealous! Good for you!
