I am not sure if this is"cheating" or not but it sure cut down on my quilting time...I bought plastic templates at joann's a while back and they were a time saver. The package included 6 sizes of stars. When doing my GS's tote bag i got them out. I just used 1 peice of tape and quilted around the star, one at a time. I was done with the entire bag in 20 min. No marking, no chalk, no mess!

Fabulous, ingenious, time-saving idea! Aren't you clever!

Great idea. Thanks for sharing.

No such thing as cheating; even "cheater" panels/cloth are really called "efficiency" panels. :P

What every works is great. I love quilting because there is really no right or wrong, only what works for you. These stars really worked for you!!!! Great Job. Thanks for the tip.:)

Not cheating at all! You had a template and used it in the best way possible. I have that same package of stars, and you've inspired me to put them to good use! Thanks!

Your bag is just to cute.

If that's what you call "cheating" then I'm all for it!!
Great bag!!!!!!! :D |
I don't think it's cheating at all - and I think when I get to go to Joann's on Sunday (yay! First time in almost 2 years!) I might have to look for those templates - or just make my own lol.
Fabulous bag too by the way! |
