Both quilts are super. I also just finished one that I have been moving around for a few years now. What a relief to get it done!

I like black in bright quilts, because it makes the colors pop out at you, and you would never guess that you ran out of the fabric you wanted to use. I think your first quilt should go to the top of the pile, and get to enjoy it soon. If you still don't love it, you can give it to a friend's child, or to a children's hospital, or to a place where a disaster happened. Then you might love the idea of the love you will be sending off with your quilt. I tell everyone when I send off a quilt, that it is like getting a hug from the person who sent it to you when you wrap up in the quilt, and any one that come thru a disaster needs all the hugs they can get. The black looks like it was planned. My quilt top stack has no top or bottom. When I have a need for a certain quilt, I pull one out of the pile and quilt it. Some of them have been in there for a very long time. Actually, three quilts from classes I attended are all in that pile. One of them I would love for my own bed. Eventually I will get to it.

The red/black/white pattern came from an old magazine and is called 'Sunday Special', I just changed the setting around a bit. It is foundation pieced.

Okay, I think I will have to get the star quilt ready and quilt it now I have got so many nice comments, thank you so much for the encouragement.
