Quilts for Guatemala
7 Attachment(s)
I recently returned from a mission trip to Guatemala where we installed fuel-efficient wood-burning stoves. I so fell in love with the people there. . . so warm, generous, HAPPY despite living on dirt floors, etc. They were so very kind to us. So I made 6 quilts to give to the people who helped us with the stoves. The like bright colors, so.. .
I'll post the rest in a separate post. |
Oh wow. Your Guatemala friends will love them. I think they'll love the backs where you used their pictures just as much as the front. Very clever and darling.

It is heart warming to read about the work you did there and the beautiful quilts you made for the people. I think you hit it right on with the beautiful colors and patterns. Do you have some one hand carying the quilts to the people? Our family has a a special connection to Guatemala as 4 of our children were born there including my two youngest in the avatar picture. May God bless you for what you did.
