Here's a tip: I prefer to use 100% cotton for quilting, BUT I found while making these pinwheels that the 65/35% cotton poly blend makes a much better pinwheel for the exact same reason you normally don't like to use it -- it won't hold a crease. Because of this, the pinwheel blades stand up nicely and don't flatten down like cotton would. You can see the difference between the pinwheels in the first quilt picture and the third quilt. |
