Woody, it was held in Ulverstone, NW Tas on our new Wharf Prectinct area. The building was built to reflect the mountain range in the background, there is a restaurant at one end and a huge room at the other and the outdoor area off that room is protected by a roof that represents one of the mountain ranges. The building sits right beside our beautiful river so the outlook is breathtaking.

I had forgotten you had already told me you made most of them yourself...I sure wish we lived closer to each other...the same country would even help...lol...
Anyways, kudos again to you! Bravo, well done, awesome!! And don't forget...you've got my address where to send any and all quilts!! ;)
Hugs,
K

Totally awesome-you must come to the states and bring your quilts. I guarantee there would be more than 100 people show up. Love them all especially the cat quilt with the butterflies in her eyes. they are all gorgeous.

KSue, most were made within the last 18 months. Of course the online swap quilts were over a period of 3 years.

I had to look at all the pictures three times, how amazing! The only thing that disappointed me is not having one picture with you in it, I would love to see the very busy, talented person behind all that work! I can't imagine having accomplished all that! Fabulous show and beautiful venue! Looks like a lovely day to boot!

What a wonderful thing you did, to share your quilts like that. I am blown away by the sheer volume of work. Wow! How will you ever top this? Your creativity is beyond description.

feline fanatic 03-17-2014 05:18 AM

Wow, it is obvious how much work went into this. Not just creating all those quilts but putting up the display and manning your one woman show. I remember one of those quilts from a posting here.

Is there a back story behind doing this? Many of the quilts seem to have a theme for illness ribbons. Did you want to raise awareness or fund raise for a cause? I am also curious about the color a heart thing you pictured. Did you ask attendees to color with fabric markers and you plan on making a quilt of this? Thanks.

cpcarolyn 03-17-2014 06:10 AM

WOW is all I can say. Looks like you had a lot of fun and met some nice people. I love all of your quilts but the comments one was great - I never would have thought of that, let alone have time to do it.
