Today I received this wonderful neckwarmer from Oralee. I love it. BEautiful color and I could smell it before i saw it - mildly. Lavendar. This is her own pattern and it has a little opening in the top where you can remove the inside and put it in the freezer or put the whole thing in the microwave. Oralee, your gift is appreciated. Others were wanting the pattern so they will have to look and see, sure they can make one too.
I also want to thank you for being one of millions who does the Susan B Kolman every year for breast cancer awareness. You are all special to do that. I would love to be a sponsor for you. BIG HUGS♥♥♥

I put it on my neck right away and it fits all the way around and comes down a bit in the front, so I turned it around and it goes down the back shoulders where I need it too. So it's reversible. ROFL.

Awesome. Can't wait to sit and use it. I left the top open so you could see it is an opening with velcro for removal of the inside.

Ohhhh I could use one of these right now!Cold and rainy here, I may have to use rice although I donot care for the smell. I do have rosemary and lavander I grew this summer dried, maybe it will cover up the rice smell, till I get those cherrypits ordered!

What a sweetie she is! I bet this helps you a lot debbie. I made these as gifts for all the girls in the family one year and they were a big hit.

raedar,I use flax seed. You only have to microwave it 30 seconds for it to stay warm for near an hour and it doesn't smell.

Let me know where you get the cherry pits. I love cherries. YOu know I have just the regular small rice bags but I can't smell the rice. But then again, rice in my family is a daily staple. LOL. HUGS The lavendar is wonderful, I love it. Dreamer2009 sent me 6 homemade bags of lavendar oil bath salts and wow, they are wonderful. She buys her french oils, not powders. Might make a difference.

Good Idea, I had some in the freezer, just looked but it was ground. I will be picking some flax up today!

Sandy, where do you get flax seed? I know the vitamins but never see the actual flax seed?

debbieumphress 03-10-2011 08:08 AM

I am going to make more since I need a few in the freezer at a time, one for my head, several for my body. I am going to put coffe beans in mine. And already decided to use french vanilla, danish pastry, and hazelnut. I can't wait. My girls decorate their house on the tables with a small pretty plate with coffee beans. It draws smells to it?? ALso they sprinkle some around a table and candles when tehy are having party. I learn such good ideas on this board. I have coffe candles already. Yummers.

I said something about using coffee beans the other day on the other thread, someone said they may explode in the microwave. I use cold packs too so I am thinking they would be fine for that. I think I will do an experiment on the beans in the microwave too lol.

I can get flax seeds at the grocery store in the natural food isle. (krogers around here) As I recall they aren't that high priced . I used to but them all the time then I read you needed the groung ones.

debbieumphress 03-10-2011 08:23 AM

Oh okay, we have a Krogers in the next town over. I better try the beans before I put them in then. I know groud would work but would have to do a double bag, I would think it would get out of a single. Raedar, I just found out Lynnie is sending me a Baby Batty Boop fabric. How fun is that? Betty is regressing back to childhood. LOL. And youa re the motorcycle Betty Boop. Wowsers.....

LOL that is funny.

Sometimes walmart has flax seeds in the vitamin section too.
