So, the technique is a painting technique. I used white fabric paint-SoSoft-along with a little SoSoft Pearl Medium and Textile Medium. Then I added some water and tested the paint mixure on some floral fabric. My goal was to have a thin film of paint so the fabric underneath still showed through. Just like a whitewashed fence where you can see the wood grain. Then I painted every single feather. Even the light ones, so they all have a little shimmer from the Pearl Medium. The pebbled centers are thread stitched and done with the same thread as the feathers.
