I just took a class on this wallhanging using the Eleanor Burns method. I have two borders to add to it. I'm not sure I will ever make another one of these but do like the results, even though it isn't perfect!!!

I took a class on this also. Our teacher would not let us press until the end. She said that it would stretch on the bias too much. good luck!

I love this quilt, and I made a queen size in about a weekend. My mom pressured me to do this, if Eleanor can do it in a day, so should you!!! LOL

Thanks everyone. Our teacher had us use Best Press to starch the bias edges. My star was bunchy in the middle too so I took it apart and trimmed it and it is better than it was. I noticed that the one piece in the center might benefit from clipping the seam allowance so that it lays down better.
