My group had a raffle quilt and had it appraised. The women bought tickets because it was beautiful. The men bought tickets when they found out how much it was worth. Most people who don't quilt don't know the value of quilts. My friend made an exceptional quilt and was offered $100 for it by a man who really thought he was offering a fair price. She told him that wouldn't even pay for the fabric. This is so true of non-quilters. What a great idea to have the quilt appraised before the raffle. This might prove helpful in selling tickets. Just a thought that maybe more guilds should have their raffle quilts valued by an appraiser and include the write up to the winner. Pam M |

Wow the pattern is amazing. You should also make up a pattern and sell that. I would buy the pattern in a second. The quilt is beautiful.
