Looks great, yep...if you are going to do more than 1 of these those spring loaded snips are a must.
|
Very pretty! I'm making one right now too. I went to WalMart & bought a pair of the spring loaded snips yesterday for about $10.00. It sure makes the cutting quicker & much easier on your hands.

Woowhoo my rag quilt is finally done after killing two pairs of scissors, getting blisters on my hands that actually turned blue ( not from the dye in the fabric either). Just needs to be washed and dried. I think it passed inspection though as you can see in the pictures lol.

Ok I got my rag quilt totally done. I washed it and dried it today and OMG the lint that comes off insane  . Is it normal to have to use a lint roller on the quilt when it comes out of the dryer? I read in another post people suggesting you go to the laundry mat to wash and dry a rag quilt I can so see why now and in the future I will definately be doing that too. I'll post the completed picture when I'm finished delinting lol.

I always wash my rag quilts at the Laundromat when they are finished, and I always use a lint roller to clean up the loose threads and lint. I have been told Laundromat machines have bigger lint traps and can handle the lint better. I take wet paper towels with me and wipe the washing machine to clean out the lint though, because I don't think it is fair to the next user to have to deal with all all that lint in their laundry.
