I am VERY behind in getting things posted on here but thought I would catch up on a few pictures. A very dear friend of mine (my mentor) had heart surgery a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to make him a quilt. With all that has been going on with me, I didn't have much time to quilt so I chose a Rag Quilt. I found some stunning flannels at my LQS that were perfect for a man's Rag Quilt. I used a decorative leaf stitch from my machine to do the Xs. It isn't perfect but is sure was soft :)

Here is the leaf stitch I used

Very masculine. I love rag quilts but it's just too hot here for them. I miss staying in when we were having a snow storm and watching movies. Then I think about driving in all that gunk and I come back to my senses.

Beautiful! Did you use your walking foot when you did the leaf stitch?

I love it! I like the colors and I have not seen one where the back is a solid piece and not included in the ragging. I like it a lot this way!
