I love this quilt. I can tell it is made with some sort of Borgello or Irish chain with the 3 different colors but could you tell me the basic directions? I would love to make this for my great neice for her to take to college this year.

That is so beautiful! I bet it was fun to make. So cheerful!

I am getting ready to start a patriotic quilt for Quilts of Valor. It will be donated to a wounded soldier returning from Iraq.

I got my aunt started making quilts 2 years ago, and now that's all she does with her free time - make quilts to be donated to the soldiers. Her husband is a retired Army Lt. Colonel, and her son is a new Army officer, just back from Iraq. Luckily no wounds.

Mine will be a tribute to my father, who was in Viet Nam twice and got a purple heart for his injuries to both legs. He retired from the Marines as a Sgt. Major. And for my husband, a former Navy Chief.

Has anyone else heard of Quilts of Valor? It is a great organization!
