Great Art Quilt! Wouldn't denim make it to heavy to hang?

I don't know, lol, this is my first wall hanging. Would regular cotton be better? I do have some clothing weight denim from a skirt I deconstructed, not as heavy as jeans. I have to do some research before I back it... lol.

I love art quilting, just seeing the images the quilter has interpreted is amazing to me. I love your work, really beautiful.

My sentiments, exactly ... denim is not a good choice for quilt back, too heavy. I have made numerous wall art quilts that were sandwiched with cotton batting and backed with cotton fabric, they hang fine. If this is an exceptionally large quilt, a narrow rod pocket can be added to the bottom of the quilt (in addition to the hanging sleeve on top). A wooden dowel inserted into the bottom rod pocket will add enough weight to keep the quilt straight and flat against the wall.

Wow, that's beautiful!!! The cotton that you deconstructed may work if it's thinner than regular denim.
