When she says fold in half she means with the edges toward the center, then iron really well. The edges of the strip are folds.

I tried to find this method on the sources mentioned but perhaps would need to buy a book with the woven tumbling blocks in it. Even looked through my "Lapquiting with Georgia Bonesteel" book. Didn't find any reference.

Did anyone else have better luck? I'd love to try this method.
