I would go to JoAnns and find a purple fabric which blends better than the dark one. No one would notice that change in fabric as long as it blends...that been said...I like the other posts that has you piecing scraps together...that seems like a great idea...that is if you have enough scraps...good luck.

the yellow check seems to flow better down the middle.

I think the odd yellow works great in the first layout, but the odd purple is a little *too* odd. If it were me, I'd make a quick trip to the fabric store and pick up a FQ in a paler purple, closer to the shade of what you have.

I think piecing the fabric that you have already introduced into the quilt is the way to go. Love your quilt by the way. I have a fence rail in my future, helps to see yours looking so nice.

I would piece a strip together. Noone will ever notice once it is all done!!

Have you tried scanning the fabric and printing it out on pfd fabric?
