Hmmm... I searched for the pattern and found a workshop on it and it includes the supply list with yardage.

The charge for the workshop is $400 for one day, $650 for two days, $850 for three days. I don't understand why someone would pay that much for a workshop on it. All it is is HSTs. This is a very simple pattern and pretty easy to put together.

WOW!! You got far since the last time I checked! It looks awesome!!! I think I need to get some of that fabric, it's great!!!

Thank you. It's sometimes hard to judge what something looks like when you look at it so much.

I like the fabric and it is the second time I've used a Julie Rothermel fabric. It's very good quality, seems thicker than most other fabrics. The first time I thought it almost had a flannel feel, it was so thick.

Whittle's fabric has it at a GREAT price.

Does that mean you're going to send it to me? If you really hate it that much? I really love it and I think it deserves a loving home!

I don't hate it. Just doesn't have the look that I wanted and I should have used the dark yellow. Seems to me that the yellowy/greenish look of that second fabric is a jarring note. Then again, the dark yellow would have been very matchy-matchy.

I'm sure it will grow on me and if not, it's not for ME anyway!

Watch it, Pam. This is the kind of sound you started making when you changed things in one of your previous quilts! Don't get all obsessive compulsive! I think this one is lovely and masculine at the same time.

I have to say, this is how I sound, lol, right before i either start changing things, or set them aside. Not worried your gonna do that, but sure sounds familiar. It really looks great, as is. The recipient is not gonna look at it, and go, I dunno, think this is ok, but if you had only...
(I had to type that, so I could see it in print.)

No, I'm not going to put it aside or change it. I worked on it just a bit last night and got the middle of the second side done.

I was browsing fabric online (a favorite pastime for inspiration) and saw Aged Elegance by South Seas Imports. So... I started playing with a design for it. I've gone over and over the outer border, tried several different things but, I don't think I've found The One yet.

I get off work at 2:30 today for a 3-day weekend. Maybe I can get the no diamonds top done this weekend.

That's my plan, except I don't get off until 4. Then the fiance is gone and I can work on my Black and white blocks! (I think, as long as fiance followed washing directions ;) )
