This may seem like a real long story, but I hope it'll be worth it. Last year I bought fabric at MJ's to make my DIL a quilt. Spent month's working on my 4 Patch Posy. By fall, I no longer wanted to give it to her. I'd spent long hours hand quilting and kept thinking about my best friend Kim, who had been wanting to be adopted in order to get one of my quilts. Thirty five years of friendship here. I suddenly made the decision to give her the quilt instead. She new it was coming and was very excited. The evening before I was to deliver it, my son emailed and asked was DIL still on my quilt list...oh, boy... Kim called to verify our date, I told her about the email...without flinching she said, "Give it to DIL. You can make me another one anytime, and please can it be yellow.". I slept on it, and decided to make it DIL's birthday gift. I did, and she loved it. In February I took another piece I had gotten at MJ's and designed this one for Kim. The long armer did a great job. Got it back yesterday...will deliver it tomorrow. Is that not the greatest show of friendship you ever heard of???
