I finished them off by staining them a walnut color. When they are put in the table and the black cap is put back on, you can hardly tell that they are there!
Just thought I would share this with you, as it has proven to be a great, inexpensive way to have a customized sewing table at the right height!

I love your more attractive solution, as I have the PVC pieces for my table, that go on the outside of the legs. I still prefer them over the bed risers (1st attempt), after our bed fell off the risers while trying to straighten up the mattress a tiny bit one day. Almost crushed my DGF's mandolin under there. I would hate to have a bumped table incident while I was using the rotary cutter.

I think you could use a little dab of the teachers poster dots to keep the rubber feet on the bottom...they could still pull back off if you wanted. You could always drill one tiny hole through the legs & into each dowel for use with a "set-screw" type application. Does it feel pretty steady?

Oh you are so clever. It looks great and I'm sure it is comfortable.
Does anyone know what the proper table height is for cutting? I am 5'2 and can't seem to get the right height. Is there a formula to follow?
