It REALLY is nice...I can cut fabric and not have pain in my back anymore!

And just another thought...if you wanted the stain to go on more evenly, you could seal your pine dowels first and then stain them. That makes the stain go on in moreof a solid color. But, I didnt think it looked to bad without doing that.
Or you could paint them brown.
