A Recent Finish

2 Attachment(s)
Just finished quilting this on a Handistitcher Avante. It was my first time, I usually rent time on a Gammill. I goofed a little, but hopefully no one will notice. Overall, I am happy with the way it turned out. It was also my first time using Warm and Natural. I like the feel of it, I think, better than the Hobbs 80 20 that I usually use.

I am sorry, I cannot remember the name of the pattern. It was, however, inspired by someone on this board. If I find it, I will post it on this thread.

Thanks for looking.

You have to love that 9 patch block....it is the basis for many a lovely quilt and yours is no exception.

Thank you. I did a "Reposition Design" that moved the quilting rows, and didn't realize the pattern was overlapping by about 1/4" on the row above. In hindsight, I wished I had stopped and removed the stitches, and started the row over in the right position.

Not a big deal, but I knew it was there, and it really bothered me. I gave the quilt to some friends we stayed with, so now I don't have to look at it, and they will probably never notice.

What a beauty!

I love that pattern. I've seen it before, but I don't know the name either. I love the colors you used. Fantastic job!

The more you quilt on a LAQ, the better your stitching will get. Remember that on W&N there is a right and wrong side up. Many previous post on this board.

Thank you ManiacQuilter. I had never worked with W & N before, but remembered the flecked side goes up, (facing the back of the front of the top). The solid, soft side faces the back of the backing. Is that what you do?

You've used beautiful soft colors, just right for spring!
