I like to make the quilt as you go runners. I make quite a few but never keep them. They are great for fundraisers and our church bazzar auction. My table is always covered up with sewing anyway!

I love it, but does anyone have a nice way to solve my problem. I have gotten my sweet MIL to do tablerunners like this one but no matter what pattern of fabric she uses, she puts lace either on the edge or on the inside of the binding facing the inner part of the runner. I've asked her not to as some of them she gives to the single men in the family and I just think lace isn't for men. But she puts lace on everything, pillows too. She is 87 and I just don't want to hurt her feelings.
