After about 10 years I picked up quilting agaiin to make a quilt for my girls school auction fundraiser. I had the kids in Saras kindergarten class draw a self portrait with fabric marker and then sewed it up into a quilt. This is the finished quilt.
The other quilt features fabrics handpicked by Annie. I sewed the top together and it sat for many many years. Just recently I pulled it out again. Annie turned her nose up at the colors. But Mary fell in love with it. So I had it quilted and it now graces her bed. The colors are crazy bright and cheery, just like her. |
How neat ! And what a great story for the quilt.. a lasting memory

love the quilts, and enjoyed the story. Just like kids, to pick something, then later change their mind.
I have one, that is grown, and insists that I always ate the ears off their chocolate rabbits, before putting in E. baskets!...even after older sister, said, I would remember better than you, and that did not happen...ever! kids, we love 'em anyways. :D |
Both quilts are awesome!!
