Yes I did - I followed the method in the "Hooked on Feathers" book by Sally Terry.

Yes all large prints can be considered really because after cutting it turns into something quite different. As mentioned in the book though, it is advisable to stay away from anything with straight lines in.

I was looking at this post and DH walked up and said he saw scary evil faces in the original fabric. He pointed out the one with the white flowers. Took me awhile, but, yeah, there's an evil sheep/skeleton/something looking thing w/ claws. Lol!

Really pretty! What is the pattern name? I'm new to quilting. Did you buy extra material to get the correct patterns with the blocks? I'm still on the more simple patterns. Great job!

They are One Block Wonders (OBWs), as in the books by Maxine Rosenthal. One Block Wonders Encore is the best one to get - will tell you and show you how to do it, very explicitly and illustrated, together with fabric suggestions, quantities and cutting instructions. You need six repeats of the pattern - ideally a repeat of 24", but this fabric I used was only a 12" repeat and worked very well.
