I love the way you set your blocks in the middle! I'm working on a barn raising setting for my LC using turquoise and beige shades. What size did you cut your strips and what size blocks are they?
They are cut at 1 1/2". Finished size on the blocks is 7". I used the entire Variety line by Jo Morton and added a few more repros from some of her other lines....

That is breathtaking! If you'd be willing, I'd love for you to pm me the specifics about your quilt. Looks like it's 13 x 16 blocks... lovely.
It is 14 x 16 blocks. Blocks finish at 7", strip size is 1 1/2". If you use an uneven number for the number of rows/columns, the star wouldn't be centered...and I am OCD that way! LOL I did make sure there weren't two of the same fabrics in the same block, but once I started sewing blocks into rows....I didn't care if they touched anymore. I would have NEVER gotten it together.....trust me, I started out trying not to let like fabrics touch! LOL
