Update, the blocks are together. The red and white and white and red for the borders did not have enough contrast. But, that is ok. I am off to Shipshewana today and will visit a few quilt shops. Hopefully, I will find the perfect border fabrics.

Wonderful quilt and the borders sound perfect -- I, too, 'audition' the border choices by laying next to the quilt before cutting. Often I end of making slightly different choices that add more to the quilt.
