A while ago I made some log cabin blocks from leftover strips I'd purchased at a garage sale. There weren't enough LC blocks to make a decent sized wall hanging, so I decided to add plain blocks.
Instead of the usual LC-Plain-LC layout, I tried something different. It was fast, really easy and lots of fun! Here are some pics of my layout auditions: http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/e...s/dsc00061.jpg In this next one, you can sort of see one of the original LC blocks in the upper left corner.... http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/e...s/dsc00044.jpg http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/e...s/dsc00049.jpg Weird, I don't have any pics of the finished one, yet; I went with the first setting style. Try it, it's fun! rf |
Those are so cool! I love the color combos! I would have been hard pressed to pick a setting style. They both are awesome. Make another!

Very, very nice. I see someone else likes to make their colors "pop" with black.

I like the top one. The dark formercenter blends in with the background to make an interesting notched effect.

Very Ingenious! Can't wait to see it! Love how you used the black for the optical illusion :D :D :D

That's gorgeous, I LOVE bright color! Not very traditional but so much fun!

Ooooh pretty! I love the jewel tones. :)

Isn't it fun to see all the ways the blocks can be laid out? I really love your colors - the bottom one is my favorite. Wouldn't have thought of using black - but it works really well.
Lovely! |
I love it every which way , beautiful colors, :D

Love the bright colors against the black. Great job thanks for sharing with us.
