GREAT FIND --

amazing what are family discards when we are no longer around -- all those labor of love hours just tossed -- always reminds me of the popular children's story of the velveteen rabbit

i love to needlepoint and have always wanted to re do an old antique chair with the seat done in the roses with the black background

could not believe my luck two days ago when i visited the goodwill outlet -- you guessed it -- a piece with the rose flowers all completed -- that is the hardest part -- now all i have to do is fill in the black background and my chair will have long awaited for needlepoint seat

and i got it all for $1.59

OMG, so glad you saved it. Look at all that work in it! Really can't figure out why people throw away things like that. Why not donate or give it away instead? Looks like you have a treasure.

Someone spent a lot of time making this quilt. It would have been a shame for it to go to the dump. So glad you rescued it!
