Oh well done - they look good! I read somewhere when I first started FMQ to practice on cheater panels, which I did, and it does help lots. It really helps you learning to move around instead of the feed dogs guiding.

From here they look great!
I love free motion quilting - although I did just get a pcq to go on my quilting frame. I figure I'll quilt like the pros first then learn along the way to free motion lol. At least then I won't get too discouraged right away.(I know I would and then just not use my mid arm)

I think you did a GREAT job!
Give yourself permission to celebrate your success!
admit it ;-) once you started, you realized it wasn't that hard to do - -you just needed to get over that initial hesitation of "can I or can't I"?
And, I can tell you - - the more you do it, the more ideas you will have for more to do! And, then, one day you will be looking at a picture of a quilt and start tracing the pattern with your finger ... and it will show up on your next quilt!
The world is now your oyster! <wave>

Daisyboo9,

That green and red, dark print Santa is laying across my sofa, RIGHT NOW! That is scarey, one to the right of me and one to the left. . . . getting confused.

Looks good. I used that panel to practice stitch in the ditch and thought I would go back and do more fmq details.

Thanks for sharing, and don't we have great taste!

wendiq 12-24-2009 07:52 AM

You may not think they are perfect, but they are!!! Anything you see as "a flaw" will wash out.......besides, if anyone is THAT critical, they shouldn't get one.........you did GOOD!

ranger 12-24-2009 10:10 AM

They look great to me. I HAVE to learn to do FMQ.

cbg95h 12-25-2009 09:51 PM
