Oh gosh--the fabric in those kits is making me drool all over my keyboard!

I'm glad you feel better! This is the best kind of therapy. :D

Sorry to hear that you were downsized. But you certainly got some great stuff with your "fiber investment" And glad to hear you're feeling better. Enjoy your new goodies. Sewing can be great therapy too.

Welcome from Northern Illinois - one downsized person to another! Good buys!

I am loving the peek of the Pine Creek Crossing! What pattern are they using? All your purchases are great and I'm so glad you've found an attention getter! Especially since we'll be able to see pictures! :D

The Christmas Star book is really cool - quilt as you go stained glass using woven fusible interfacing and fusible bias tape. I figure if I start it soon, I may have a shot at getting something finished in time for Christmas

The Pine Crossing kits are using a shop-developed pattern - really, its just turning the Layer Cake squares into hourglass units and the Charm Pack squares into 4 patches. I like that the larger hourglass units will be big enough to show off the fabric; a lot would be lost on some of it if it were cut into small pieces.

I have the Pine Creek Crossing fabric too - using it to make my Pioneer quilt. Isn't it great?

Sorry about your job, but a great way to handle it and help the economy too. LOL

I lost my job too, January 30th. So I've thrown myself into quilting! :D Beautiful fabrics!! I love the 'fiber investment' term too! lol!!!! And actually, if you think about it, it's true! Enjoy your goodies!! :D
