Very pretty on both sides! Great job - is it hard to do?

Neat quilts. Good Job. I noticed you live in Arcadia. I lived there during WWII, I was only about 10 at the time. I went to First Avenue Elementary School. We lived at 1017 S. Second Avenue just off Duarte. I imagine everything has changed by now. I left there in 1947. I was a TomBoy and rode my horse all over the place. Used to be that Double Drive had a horse riding trail all the way up to Santa Anita Oaks. Funny how I can remember those things and some days can't remember what I had for dinner the night before!!

Great quilt - two for the price of one - got to be happy with that.

Lovely fabrics and your joining sashing is so thin!, lots of skill. I have never attempted but you did a splendid job.

Really nice. I really like the sashing QAYG method, it really does make it reverseable!

What is the procedure for putting on the inner and outer borders. I want to make a quilt like this one but cannot figure out how to get a border on that has no seams. Could you please make a tutorial for me.

Diane007 11-04-2012 06:58 AM

great idea... very nice

sniktasemaj 11-04-2012 11:28 AM

You did a great job. I want to try a quilt as you go.

judy363905 11-04-2012 11:34 AM

Very Nice Job...Janie, :)

I am wondering if your enjoyed the process.. I plan on doing a QAYG for a King Size quilt -- wondering if I can finish it to the end. Am I correct that you add the boarder after joining all your blocks?

It wasn't too hard. The hardest part was the borders because I was doing it without any patterns. I have put a totorial of this on my blog.

appliquequiltdesigns 11-04-2012 06:37 PM

The inner border was the sashing that is used to put my blocks together. I put on the outer blocks after the rest of the quilt was made. I have done a totorial on my blog.

If you go to search engine and putin quilt as you go there are patterns and all kinds of instructions that might help you. Lots of them out there.
