Reversible Stack and Whack
1 Attachment(s)
I saw a thread on here about doing a reversible quilt, so decided instead of making a HUGE quilt, I'd made a reversible one.
Here's my blocks ... pinks on one side, browns on the other! Thanks for looking! |
I admire you lovely choice of design and color. Very beautiful.

Lovely blocks!
I love your blocks. I want to try that technique but have so many projects line up I don't know when it will happen.
Just a caution on quilting. Since your pinwheels all turn the same way, they will be opposite when you turn the back over. So if you planed on SITD your quilting won't match the back side. |
Oh my goodness - awesome use of the fabric design for the pinwheel centers. Love the colors.
How stunning!
very interesting pattern
they look good
Very nice!
They are beautiful.
Both are beautiful!! I'm still at the stage where I want "more" quilts so I'd probably make 2 quilts. Lol....
Awesome. BrendaK

I like the kaleidoscope effect of the pinwheels!
That is going to be great!
Those are Bethany Reynolds technique? Like her way of doing......
what size are your two quilts? Wall hanging size? |
Very nice--please do show us the finished quilts.
I don't know what technique it is, I just googled stack and whack and followed the pictures.
The blocks are 12 inches each. I'm going to quilt them individually and then put them together and will sew around the squares. I do plan on adding a border as well. Right now it's about 36x48 .. it's going to be a lapquilt for my living room. I also ended up mixing up the colours - so not just pink on one side and brown on the other! |
What fun blocks! That will be a great quilt, on both sides! :)
So very nice
Love your blossoms!
Both look great, I am in the process of doing a stack & Whack, but I think I'll do the LaMoyne Star. I also like your black background.
Wow! That is striking. Wish I could see it in person.

I donate about 40-50 quilts a year, so I'm past that stage of wanting more LOL ...
It's the same fabric - I bought tons of it ... I'll put a pic up later ... almost done quilting both tops! Can't wait to put it together ... I'm going to do some embroidery down the sides of the borders ... having fun with my new machine! |
Both of them are very pretty
Great choice of fabric. It made a very pretty quilt.

I have both sides done - and they are pinned together, and just have to sew them together ... the center of my pinwheels match perfectly on both sides, so I will be sewing them together through the black "pinwheels".
I'm still debating the type of border to add on. I thought about doing some embroidery ... but, it's a lapquilt for me, and I have a cat LOL ... so I might just use some of the fabric that I have left over. What a mess it makes when you sew with the batting on the back! It's everywhere ... time to go clean my machine! Thanks for looking! |
I love your blocks. This is one of my favorites.
