Here are some reversible table runners I made.
This one is for my BIL and his wife. The Mom saw it and wanted one as well, but longer. They were very quick and easy. Probably took me 2 hours per side and 1 hour to sew each side together. |
Vrey nice.

How clever! Two looks in one! Great job.
Very nice!! I like!!!
Oh, those are just so nice......keeps reminding me I need to get started on some holiday runners I've had in mind to make for quite awhile!
How cool! Nice job.
What a great idea! You can do two holiday's in one!
Way to cute. Where can I buy this pattern? Thanks
Linda |
Do you straighten the sides and bind them or leave the strips as they are?
Stunning!
Here is the pattern
http://www.quiltbus.com/tabletopper.htm sewaholic, I just left the strips as they were, was lucky in that the sewing of each side matched up. However, if they hadn't then I would have cut the edges into straight edge and sewn as the pattern indicates. |
Very very pretty. Could put "chicken" fabric in the center :D
THEY are beautiful!! I want to go cut some out now BUT I Hate to sound dumb but, if you left strips as they are, then how did you quilt and bind them? Margie
Did not bind it. I think the term is "birthing". I placed each front to front, sewed the edges, leaving a section unsewn, turned inside out and then sewed around the very edge so that they wouldn't slip. Then I also just made a little tacking stitch every so often down the middle so it wouldn't slip through there either.

What a fabulous idea! Thank you for sharing the link with us. :D
Thanks racnquilter for the link. Hope you didn't think I was being rude, about the binding thing. They are very pretty, and very even. :D

Racnquilter:
I love your reversible tablerunners. I want to make some! NOW! Did you get the pattern on line? It looks easy enough but without the dimensions I'd probably have a problem . Opps, read further down...you gave us the site for the pattern. THANK YO&U! |
Cool, thanks for sharing the link with us!
