Rhapsody in Blue - A Round the Rows Robin
1 Attachment(s)
Eight of us, (JudyG, MishnJim, Kathy N, Gramakitten, Shaysmema, Materialgrl, Ripped on Scotch and Belles/QuilterValerie) decided to participate in a Round the Rows Robin. It was organized by Judy G and each of us started the quilt with a row of four 6-inch squares. The next three participants each added a row of four 6-inch squares. Then the Round began with the remaining four members each adding a round of blocks, (sizes determined by the quilt owner - the quilter who made the first row). I decided to limit the first three rounds to 4-inch squares with the final round at 6-inches. Because I wanted only blue fabric, Shaysmema cleverly suggested a small white flange to separate the different patterns and shades of blue. I received the completed top yesterday and am THRILLED with it. Thanks to the talented ladies who made such a stunning quilt. I can hardly wait to quilt and display it. Here's the photo. Just beautiful what you were able to accomplish collectively. May I say I'm still laughing over the name "Ripped on Scotch". Lord, that's hilarious. Obviously I must have missed any posting with that name before.

The quilt is beautiful and the name Ripped on Scotch is hilarious. lol

What a beautiful quilt you got. I had never heard of a "round the rows robin" I've heard of a row robin and a round robin, you ladies combined the two with terrific results.
