Rhonda, Wow! Thanks for posting all these variations of your wonderful Boston Blocks. I am soooooooooooo going to copy these variations for a future quilt. But now I have to decide on which to do first. Thank you so much for all the work you do on this Board to help us newbie quilters. I feel like you are a friend at my elbow helping out with advice.

JoyjoyMarie 12-20-2011 06:38 AM

Nice blocks, and I love the way you break them down so we can see how to put them into acheivable units! Thanks for all you do!

Rhonda 12-20-2011 08:41 AM

Thank you ladies! I had fun doing these!

Pam Pottberg 12-28-2011 06:09 AM

I like the blocks. How do I sign up and do these? Ive never done any thing like this on line before. Do you tell us how much fabric to buy, because I don't have a stash? I am very interested in this.

quilter41 12-28-2011 06:38 AM

Where are the directions for these blocks? They are stunning.

ladypetite 12-28-2011 06:58 AM

Thank you for posting these lovely Boston Blocks!

Rhonda 12-28-2011 08:13 AM

The first Sampler was posted last year and these quilt blocks were in that Sampler. All you need to make these is the directions for making a Boston Block and then look at the layout to see where the colors go and how to lay the blocks to put them together into the Quilt Block of your choice.

Boston Block Directions
http://www.quiltingboard.com/tutoria...al-t38879.html

As to how much fabric that depends on how many quilt blocks you want to make. If you send me how many quilt blocks and the size of quilt you want to make I can figure it for you.

quiltymom 12-28-2011 08:14 AM

There all sew very pretty!!!!

They are any size you want to make them. I make them at 6 1/2" unfinished but most people like the 12 1/2" size. To make them the size you want just use a differant size of template.

a 2 1/2" template will make a 12 1/2" quilt block
a 1 1/2" template will make a 6 1/2" quilt block

You can use any size you want. If you wanted to make an 18 1/2" unfinished use a 3 1/2" template.

No but give me a bit and I will. I have been going to do all of my Blocks with directions for using squares instead of rough cutting so I can get that done and then send it to you. I'll post it when I get it done
