Rhumbus Star by MSQC
4 Attachment(s)
Hi, I had a Navy guy and not a lot of Navy fabric. I used my small ruler to have more stars, for this 60 x 80 quilt for him. It is called Rhumbus Star by Jenny Doan. She used the smaller ruler for her baby quilt, tho. I pieced it and another QOV volunteer quilted it.

Nice quilt! I love Stars, especially for our service men and women. And lately I am really loving adding gold and grey into QOV.

Beautiful quilt.

I love your quilt! I’m actually planning on making it for my own bed with ombré fabrics on black background. I’m also going to make it into a king size quilt.

My sister is just getting involved with making QOV projects and is so excited. I had her take a look at some of your quilts and she is so impressed so from both of us your quilts are beautiful and being made for such a good cause.

juliasb-I just got involved and joined in February this year. I was asked the year before to join a group about 20 miles away. I first declined because I am so busy. Well, this year when they made my husband one I was so overcome I joined!:D I have made 9 tops, 60 x 80 for veterans, since Feb and one for my family 90 x 100, so I am still busy!:D Tell your sis she will enjoy the fellowship sewing with other ladies and the rewarding feeling when meeting the soldiers being awarded their quilt. Thanks to her for joining & for looking at their quilts here!

I am making this quilt as a wedding quilt using black & white galaxy bg fabric and each star different stellar fabric. The young couple spent their first date stargazing. My mind sees floating stars but not sure how to accomplish this feat.
You cannot quilt for a better cause. Thank you. |
Nice work! Love the varied colors of the stars and in my opinion, any star quilt is a good quilt :-)

Very very nice quilt. I'm working on a rhombus quilt as well. Lots of points and challenges on this one. Hope you enjoyed working on yours. You should be pleased to know that someone will love and cherish it.
