Placed some quilts in our local fair and got two Blue Ribbons and one Red....here they are.....:-)

Thanks you ....:-)....I had to find the Blue and White one and then upload it....The judges gave me a Red ribbon on it cause some points were off....duhhhhh....was in a catagory of group quiliting.....some didn't have room to keep the point........but yep that is one of our Block Swap.....see how good you girls are.....:-)....

wonder how many county fair judges that judge quilts actually quilt? yours are beautiful. betting the pioneer women who made quilts would never get a ribbon, huh? sure they were not worried about every point and seam being perfect and yet they made beautiful quilts.

Your quilts are beautiful. I am a quilter and I am also a County and State Fair judge for quilting among other things. There are times when it is very difficult to choose winners as they are all great - other times not. But when you have a dozen or more quilts in one category and can only give one each 1st, 2nd and 3rd, you really have to get picky. If this happens I do try to make a comment on the back of the card indicating a very close contest.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments...it sure was fun to enter in our local fair....I am glad I placed and I do understand the hard time our judges have and they do tell us why they make their choices....and I do get it....sure glad I am not the judge....:-)

The Blue Group quilt took second place...the other two got first and I had one other entered that didn't place but I know why .....just thought I might let it slid ....but Judges caught it....darn it.....:-)

Well to tell the truth, I am not sure. I miss seeing some of the girls and thier quilts. But I think you might enjoy the group that are here as much.
