Sandee sent me a PM and ask that I post a larger pic of my Avatar. I used free pattern from http://fatcatpatterns.com/Aquatic%20Designs.html for the tropical fish but the rest was sort of just made up and put together. My husband drew the shark and I drew the starfish and shells by tracing some starfish and shells I had laying around the house. Notice the Sharks tooth a the bottom leaning against the corals. We dive for sharks teeth when on vacation. We have a 6" tooth that we found and alot of 3" and 4" teeth.
I am slowly working on stitching all of the appliques down and plan to add the silhoutte of a scuba to it also. It is a work in process. Right now it is hung on the window in my sewing room and I kind of like it there. |
Deb, I was just reading your blog earlier today and I too think it looks wonderful on your window. Almost like being in the water with them. Maybe you can make your hubby another one?
