I have hated this quilt from the beginning. It was requested in a theme I don't care for (jungle) and colors I'm not terribly fond of (browns and greens). I bought fabric I thought would work well, but hated every pattern I drew up using it. I finally settled on a variation of one from the book, Twin Peaks, called "Queen for a Day." I had to hurry since my stepdaughter and family are coming soon for a visit, and it needed to be ready to go back to Germany with them. There is supposed to be another pieced border, which is very pretty, but the quilt is getting too large. I'm not sure if I should use the jungle fabric to bind with, but it's what I have the most of. When galloping by, please ride fast and don't turn around for a second look.

I think it looks very nice and I would bind it in what you have..the jungle them fabric would tie it all together nicely

You did a lovely job for not liking it so..I'm not so sure I could have done as well without some of my ick feeling showing thru. =) Your talent shines. =)

It is a beautiful quilt. But we each have our own likes and dislikes and even tho it is not your favorite I am sure the receiver will be joyful and treasure it. Kudos to you for persevering and creating this lovely quilt. Thank you for sharing.

I think it is gorgeous and unique. I had to look for several minutes and enlarge it so I could see all the neat details. You did a great job.

Looks awesome, as I slowly admired your beautiful quilt, and your binding idea will be just perfect to finish this off:) Don't be so hard on yourself~~~~~
