Rings of Love

1 Attachment(s)
I decided to make this "Rings of Love" quilt for my son's 1st anniversary.

After making it - I'm still not crazy about triangles. I'm also not crazy about the instructions...and there were some errors in the quantities for the yardage (although, I guess lots more is better than not enough).

I think I'm going to fire up the embroidery machine and put something in the white blocks.

Lots of my triangles are missing their points!

I think it is a great quilt, I love the flower border. I don't see any missing points in the triangles. LOL Thank you for sharing.

this is the first I have seen one like this. Looks good. It has got my scrappy mind going.

Those triangles were probably tricky but you did a great job. Love the pattern.

Looks beautiful!

It's a lovely quilt. And, like the other posts, I don't see anything wrong with the points. And even if there were, I'm sure your son is not going to say, "Hey mom. Can you fix these points for me?"

It is awesome. I like your idea of the embroidery. I didn't notice any blunted off points. Who would look with so much wonderful about this quilt to see.

Rings with Embroidery

Here are some photos of the top with the wedding party names embroidered.
I was going to included family members who attended the wedding, but hooping and un-hooping for each name was way too boring!
The last time I made a special embroidered quilt I did the embroidery first...far easier!

Great job on an interesting pattern! :)

Neat quilt and I didn't see any problems. besides - remember the 50 mph rule - if you can't see galloping buy at 50 mph on a horse, then it doesn't matter. Just my opinion, but it will be a little harder embroidering the quilt now because you have the bulk you have to contend with. Your son will love it as it is!

Just saw this today. It looks wonderful.
