River Heritage Quilt Guild Show in Cape Girardeau, MO 9/22/12
 

I would like to post some photos of the first quilt show I have ever attended AND entered! It truly was a wonderful experience, and I am glad I was talked into entering. Donna convinced me to enter, and I actually placed! 3rd place isn't too bad for a first entry. Autumn Dresdan was made for a friend who loves autumnal colors. I used my grandmother's old cardboard template for the plates. MANY thanks goes to my wonderful long arm quilter, Ann, who is a quilting goddess! I do have to admit, I can see the competition aspect of a quilt show, and now I will be better prepared if ever I decide to enter again. Enjoy! The curved border treatments on the fan and butterfly quilts are fabulous.

YEA for YOU! That is awesome! All the quilts are beautiful, and the ribbons are beautiful too! Our guild makes fancy ribbons each year for our show too. The crazy quilt heart ribbons are sweet! I'm glad you got one ;)

Your Dresden's are wonderful ... they definitely deserved a ribbon and it looked like pretty stiff competition! Congratulations. Your friend's Civil War quilt was beautiful also. Great show - thanks for the pics.

Congratulations! To me there is nothing more exciting and joy producing then getting a ribbon (any ribbon!) at a show. It puts me over the moon. Your quilt is beautiful and would love to see some closeups of the quilting. I can see some beautiful quilting behind the close up of your ribbon. Looks like there were many beautiful quilts at that show and some serious competition so you should be proud.
