I agree with Housemother. Should have been in Iron quilts. I would have voted for this one and love the fabric line.

Julie Herman at <jaybirdquilts.com> seems to be the designer. Lovely quilts and 2 nifty rulers to help make them.</jaybirdquilts.com>

I did enter... I had ordered several charm packs , so this was left overs. It was fun... but pretty nerve wracking.

we made a copy of the template in the pattern, then he taped it to the plexiglass. He scored it with a tool he had for cutting plexiglass ( originally used it for the top of a desk)... then he put it on the edge of his work bench and hit the edge it broke where it was scored. (not always the first time.) He had to do a couple on one of them. I have heard that Home Depot will cut plexiglass for you too at no charge.. that might be worth a try. Good Luck.

May I ask how your DH cuts the plexiglass? Thanks.

The pattern is called Rock Candy, by little Jaybird Quilts > I got it at my local quilt shop for around $7. I think you can get it through the web site too. My friend did several arranging the fabric into stars... that is very pretty too.

Thank you for all of your nice comments.

of those templates...be willing to$$$$$$$! No DH to do it here anymore! Love the look of yours

I doubt I can get him to go into business... but I will ask... Check with local Home Depot or Lowe's , I have heard they will cut plexiglass at a very minimal or no charge if you flash your baby blues... good luck

It's lovely... Another way to cut the pieces is from strips... seems the easiest to me. I didn't read the entire 8 pages so forgive me if someone else has already made this point.

beatys9 03-08-2014 04:31 PM
