On a roll......Jelly Roll, that is
1 Attachment(s)
I went to a quilt retreat this past weekend with guild friends and made this lap quilt, 56" x 67", for my aunt who is starting chemo. I used a pattern called Garden Trellis from Jelly Roll Quilts by Pam and Nicky Lintott. It went together perfectly, even though it is considered a tube quilt and all the blocks had bias edges. I just starched the pieced strips heavily before cutting. I also used their tip of using a square ruler and marking a line with painters tape across from the 6 1/2" line on one side to the same mark on the opposite side, making my own 90 degree triangle template. The fabric is from Nancy Halvorsen's line called, Forever Spring, by Benartex. I hope she likes it.

It looks very nice. I think it will be a great comfort to your aunt.

Beautiful quilt! I know your sister will appreciate it and will use it for her treatments. Those places are always kept so cold. (Which IMHO is better than too warm). I've just got to get with the program and purchase a jelly roll to make something like this. Thanks for the inspiration.

The colors in your quilt speak of comfort and love. Your aunt will feel both while she uses your quilt. God bless you for making it for her.
