Romon Shade
1 Attachment(s)
I turned this Attic Windows quilt top into a roman shade with Warm Window insulated backing. Made for my sister to cover a VERY cold window that looked out onto a carport. She used to live at the coast but had to move closer to the Veterans hospital so her now disabled husband could get medical care. So I tried to create an illusion that she was looking out the window at the beach.

Deanneellen, I currently live in Dallas, Oregon too!! We are neighbors! Do you belong to the guild in Salem?
terrific view!
I love the pattern Attic Windows. You did a marvelous job on the quilt and your sister will love it and you.
Great idea, well done!
That looks so neat, what a great way to address a drafty window & ugly view.
Very creative and great colors!
That is very cool and it looks great.
What a wonderful design. I just love it. The illusion looks so real. Great work!
that's a great idea and a fine quilt.
Perfect!!!!!!
Great job - she is going to be so happy to be able to look at the sea whenever she wants. I am going to have to think about how I can incorporate something like that for one of my windows.
this is awesome! wow!
Great job!
I love it!!!!
Excellent solution for the cold window and a lovely view for your sister. Nice gift! Blessings to her husband.
You were very successful with your illusion! Looks so nice instead of looking out onto a carport.
Fabulous! Love it!
Oh how cool! I love this idea. I love the coast and vacation there every chance I get, I would love to have a "view" like this on my wall! I'm sure she'll LOVE it.
wow looks so real good job!!!
Very cool. I had to look up lapidary. Cool term for a hobby. I learn something new every day.
that is awesome
Very pretty!
Hearing the faint sound of the gulls, seeing the ebb & flow over the rocks, feeling the breeze on my face, my feet squishing in the sand. Wonder, where is my sunscreen?
Your sister is so lucky to have YOU. It will certainly comfort her! |

BEAUTIFUL JOB! Wow, what a great idea for a Roman shade. I love it!
What a clever way to cover up a not-so-nice view. It looks like the seaside to me!
That is so clever, and so thoughtful! (And so well done.)
I may have to "steal" this idea for the window in my husband's study... Alison |
This is beautiful. Did you start with a ready-made roller shade?
I would love that quilt, the Pacific ocean is one of my loves in life
Beautifully executed view of the beach. I know she will love.
