You did a really nice job. I think I see other roosters or chickens in the top of the pictures, so I'm guessing you're a collector.

Moonglow 01-31-2013 11:32 PM

Like your Mr. Rooster in the Flowers.

Very good replication in fabric. I am wondering if you added a bit of art work on the fabric for the breast area? I am ever a lover of any "Chanticleer". I did one years ago in needle punch, cut it out and mounted it on an old piece of wood.

helenquilt 02-02-2013 06:08 AM

Hope my DIL doesn't see this. She will want one. It is so pretty

WMD926 02-02-2013 06:10 AM

The only art work I did was to draw the feathers on the breast with a colored pencil and with a black dye pen to seperate the feathers on the tail and body.

Love the rooster and the wall hanging!!! Good job.

jsprues 02-02-2013 07:29 AM

I looked at your quilts, and they are great!!!!!! I would love to make the deer quilt for my grandson. I don't know where to start. Can you explain how you do this? Thank you.

Iraxy 02-02-2013 07:55 AM

Just gorgeous. When I first saw the posting I wondered if it would have those beautiful yellows and golds that are so popular in Tuscany prints. Sure enough, there they were. Great job!

JaniceP 02-02-2013 08:20 AM

You captured it perfectly! Beautiful.

LUANNH 02-02-2013 01:16 PM

Absolutely beautiful!!! How did you go about making a pattern of the rooster, I have a couple of things I would like to duplacate in fabric but can't draw to save my sole LOL. Maybe a tute is in the future?

mimiknoxtaylor 02-02-2013 01:17 PM

Your batik fabrics were the perfect choice. I agree with others....great job.

QandE2010 02-02-2013 02:57 PM

You did an excellent job replicating the ceramic rooster. I am very impressed. Thanks for sharing.

BarbM32 02-02-2013 03:07 PM

Frankly I like yours better than the ceramic. However ceramic is very beautiful. I do ceramic roosters. I just love them. However I never thought about recreating any in fabrics.

Auntie Em 02-02-2013 03:57 PM
