Rosa & Tomas

I've never followed a pattern before, but when I saw a quilt like this at a quilt shop, I had to make it. It is Elizabeth Hartman's "Lloyd & Lola" pattern: http://ohfransson.bigcartel.com/
The reviews of the pattern say that the instructions are clear. I like making my own quilt patterns because I find written directions hard to follow. Those cute little llama faces have 52 pieces in them! I thought it was hard because of my inexperience, but it was worth the effort. I think they are so cute. I used polyester batting and quilted it with pinstripes and a serpentine stitch in between. I named my llamas "Rosa & Tomas." |
Darling quilt! Great quilting idea. I'm certain I will use it sometime.

Oh * My * Gosh! This is just too cute for words. The faces are great. Who would think you could get such expression using squares, rectangles and triangles. The brightly colored snowball blocks along the top and bottom make it look like the llamas are at a fiesta with colored paper lanterns.

They’re adorable! I love the quilting and hope you don’t mind if I use it...
