I didn't know what to do with Mareliba's either. What I wanted to put on it was beyond my skill level. I wanted to put a "drunkard's path" border on it to emphasize the curve of the circle.

But, it was beyond my ability. :?

I'll post a pic later of the border I wanted to do from my EQ program. (I still think it would look good on it somewhere ...) Right now, gotta get to work.

Same with Dawns. It might have started as a bunch of little squares, but it's turned into one GIANT beautiful piece!
The pictures don't do them justice. The colors that are in these things are absolutely awesome!

I have not looked at this site for a while and missed all the borders going on. Just looked at that one you did for Mareliba´s . OMG it is just beautiful. Double whamy good. love it to bits
:D :D Elle

I have completed the border for Barbsbus and it will be mailed out today.

I have been laying awake at night tryint to figure out what to do with Terri's border and I think I have it so it will compliment what is already done. This is getting harder and harder - but also alot of fun!

I was trying to find out who did the butterfly border for Terri's block, and where/how did you come up with making those little butterflies?

I've been learning so much about borders from watching these quilts grow I've become so much more aware of options for borders! :D Thanks to all of you!

I did the butterflies. They are foundation on muslin and got the butterflies off the internet. Some I shrunk on the computer. I use them a lot on the greeting cards that I have been making. Got some down to 2" squares.

I love the border. Haven't seen the notice for this group in my e-mail so I decided to do a search. Glad I got caught up. Looking forward to the next center coming my way. Haven't had one to work on for seems like months. LOL.

Mareliba....that's pretty.
That's the border I was going to do on Dawn's, but for some reason, it was kicking my butt, so I decided against it. So, I did the braid, should have stuck to my original decision because I didn't like the braid.

Dawn Hendrix 07-07-2008 08:28 AM

Well I liked the braid!!!!!

I tried that border on yours Terri.. It kicked my rump also and I was so frustrated I had to chooses something else!
