I made these round pot holders just to see how they went together.
I used fabric scraps that were not very colorful, but these were very quick and easy to make. (Not a very good pic though)

Good job..they will be very useful too. what did you use as batting inside them? they could double as hot pads too. crafty-linda_b

Since reading one of the posts about using coffee filters for foundation piecing I have been trying to think of a cute, fast, easy project to give it a try and I believe these pot holders are just the thing. Thanks for sharing your ideas.

Check through search for a link to a tutorial for round pot holders. I remember seeing it as a link to someone's blog a while back, maybe Feb. or Jan.

I used warm and natural batting and insul- bright because I do use them as trivets to set somthing hot on them on the table and of cours you can use them as they were made to use as pot holders.

great job very handy ,too

vhord620 12-06-2012 08:26 AM

just measured my coffee filters, they are 7 3/4" round....sounds like a good size for a potholder. Gonna try paper piecing...just adding scraps and see what happens, bias tape will make an easy binding.

QUILTNMO 12-09-2012 06:04 PM

so cute!!!!

MothrNatr 02-22-2013 09:33 PM

Nice pot holders!

carolaug 02-23-2013 03:13 AM

Love how they came out...think I will make one. I have a 8 inch circle die so think I will cut the batting with it and do a quilt as you go. Thanks for the idea.
