I have been seeing these gorgeous ruffle hoodies on etsy.com and just couldnt bring myself to pay anywhere from 60-80 dollars for one so just happened to be at WalMart and I see their hoodies on sale for 5.00 so I grabbed one and eventually worked up enough courage to give it a shot and was tickled with the results! So of course I had to go back to walmart and stock up on hoodies of every color :0

definitely gives it a one of a kind look.

Good job. How did you do that? Did you have to remove the zipper? My dgd would enjoy them this Fall.
|
No u sew close to zippers on each side
|
Thanks :)

How fun...and creative! :)

Very cute and creative.

So what did you make the ruffle out of? Ribbon, jersey? Cotton would unravel, unless its on the bias.
|
Jersey knit strips then I ruffled then pinned and attached . I had to attach ruffle on pockets by hand because the way pockets were it wouldn't allow with sewing machine or I'd close the pockets-- I'm a novice at clothes & altering but this was simple and fun

Very cute...you did a wonderful job!!!

Cute.

Really cute!

Youre right about the pockets. I was thinking that satin ribbon would be pretty too. Might be harder to sew by hand though.

Cute
