This quilt is for a 3 yr old boy who was recently diagnosed with cancer. He is related to a friend of my DGD. She asked me to make it for him so he can stay warm while he is sick. How could I say no to that? It's fleece and soft and warm. He starts treatment in a few days, so I wanted something fast that he could have before then. It's ready to go out in the mail tomorrow.

Beautiful!!! I am sure Ryan will love it!!!

A very happy quilt!
|
What a warm fuzzy he will have and you get a warm hug from me.
|
What a happy blanky. You are so sweet and kind, but you look terrified in front of the camera ;-)
ps. I don't see the problem you mentioned earlier, and I know they won't. |
How kind of you to help out Ryan!
|
It's gorgeous...so happy and bright. The perfect thing for a small person to wrap himself in while undergoing treatment. Hospitals are often so cold (not to mention scary)...a lovely, practical and very special gift.

It's lovely to have something I love doing so much that I can forget the pain and such for a while. You will not hear me complaining about it, for sure! Hugs and smilessssss, wildlinda |

What a fun quilt! It will bright his days and warm his heart!

Fleece will be perfect. My friend used to get so cold doing her chemo treatments. That was sweet of your DGD to think of him and so sweet of you to make it. It really is cute...a perfect cuddle up quilt.

Sooooo cute!!!!

Linda, I also have fibro. Know all too well the problems with sitting too long...or standing too long. I know you are blessed to be able to sew this special quilt for the darling little boy. My prayers go out to you and for your DGD's friend. I have set my sewing room up so that every time I have to iron something, I have to get up and take a few steps to the iron. That forces me to move more often. Of course, that slows down sewing a little, but ends up being less painful. I consider that a pretty good trade-off. Best of luck.

Hugggggs and smiles annieshane, there are a good many of us on this board. Isn't it great knowing there are so many others who understand our daily trials?
I love how we learn to adapt in so many little ways so that we can have the best life possible. Check out my post on the main thread about what I'm doing this week!! wildlinda |
